The MBTI®: Understanding Yourself and Others at Work (Introductory Session)
Type and Team Communication
Description:
This course is designed to help participants understand their personality by: looking at energy source; how information is gathered; decision-making; and lifestyle preferences. Participants will have an opportunity to experience the communication differences within each of the four dichotomies of type and learn to adapt individual styles at work.

Topics covered include:

  • Using the MBTI® personality assessment to help participants better understand themselves, their co-workers, clients and work environments
  • Using the tool to adapt individual styles at work
  • Experiencing the communication differences of the 8 MBTI® preferences
  • Identifying verbal & non-verbal cues to each of the 8 MBTI® preferences
  • Examining the influence of type on email communication
  • Learning ways to flex and adapt type style to meet the communication needs of others

The MBTI®: Understanding Yourself and Others at Work (Advanced Session)
Type and Conflict and Type Under Stress
Description:
This course is designed to help participants gain a more advanced look at type and style. Using the teachings of the introductory course, participants will look at their conflict management style and how to optimize type to manage conflict. Participants will also learn more about how type influences stress reactions and a type framework for managing stress.

Topics covered include:

  • Analyzing the benefits and drawbacks of conflict
  • Identifying type-related conflict areas
  • Discussing do’s and don’ts when dealing with conflict
  • Discovering a type-related model for use in conflict and non-conflict situations
  • Discovering the dynamics of type and the impact of stress on type
  • Identifying type-related energizers and stressors
  • Discussing type-related stress reactions and type-specific strategies for regaining equilibrium
